Every other month, members of the Artistic Souls, Circle of Friends, bring a project along with instructions and supplies for other members to duplicate. I was so inspired by these projects that I have been busy making additional cards.
The first was Merine's project. Her design and images appear in the card on the upper left-hand side of the scan along with the new cards I created this week.
The second group of cards were the result of Judy's project and her design and images. I made the card upper left-hand at club and used her basic design for the additional cards.
Barb's project I totally messed up. We were to add glossy accents to the flower portions only which I did along with some glitter.
W E L L my glossy accents and glitter were way excessive and the glitter overpowered the flowers. When the card dried, I sanded down the card to remove some of the glitter and then to bring back the sheen I completely covered the black card in glossy accents.
This week I plan to try this design again and to do it the way Barb instructed; and will scan results when completed.
Below is the card I prepared for my shoe box project. What I liked about this technique was the depth created for the card front with no additional layers added.
We have such a fun time when we meet and were treated to a very nice surprise when Inka joined us for coffee and a short visit.
We are a very close circle of friends. They inspire me and help keep my life on an even keel.

Some terrific projects Carolyn and so great to craft with friends. Good for the soul. Annette x
Lovely projects, and it's so nice that you can connect this way--such a warm feeling!
You have been busy busy, Carolyn. I love all the layers you have created - gives your cards such depth. I thought you recovered very nicely with the project you thought you messed up. What did you use for the shine? Also love your quotes -- where do we get those these days? I had so many and am trying to find some to replace them. Any advice? Love the flower pots! Spring is coming. hugs, Donna
Beautiful! Beautiful!
