Soldering 101 - Final Phase

I have put away my soldering tools to work on other projects. What you see in the photo are a couple of charms that were part of the first batch I wrapped with the copper tape. The problems I encountered on these two were mainly the result of the tape not being applied correctly. For the blue one, I was working on it and accidently pulled the tape away from the glass.

Where I need a little more practice is attaching the hangers. I'm not totally pleased with the results and will concentrate on this when I do my next practice sesson.

I especially want to thank those who so graciously provided tips and encouragement. Believe me, your tips helped and kept me from getting discouraged and throwing in the towel. I'm too stuborn to just give up.

Carolyn, your soldering looks wonderful. Attaching the rings is hard for everyone and it looks like you got it. Great job!

It looks to me like you have the rings down by 99% at least I would be happy with your results. Beautiful.

Carolyn, from here they look great! I like the scalloped edges and the doohickeys on the corners of the left one. You're really getting the hang of it. See, there is a huge disadvantage to being stubborn. Although in the educational world we call it "persistent" LOL.

Carolyn, these are beautiful, your improvement is astounding! One thing about stained glass,it is very forgiving, so don't sweat the small stuff!
