On Wednesday of this week a group of us met at Lynn Stevens studio to steampunk birds which she handcarved for each of us.
However, because of my computer nightmare the past couple of weeks, I decided to make a computer nerdy bird using circuit boards and other computer parts. The photo was taken by Lynn of nerdy bird when I left her studio; however, I have more parts to add and will share a final photo when he is finished.
We had a wonderful, fun day working alongside of Lynn in her well organized studio.
NOTE: According to my expert friends, steampunk is the idea of creating a futuristic project using the current days tools, say the 1800s. That is the reason when you view steampunk art, you see lots of wheels, screws and metal objects from that era.
(Thank you Lynn and special thanks to her hubby, Vic, who prepared lunch for the gals.)
You can view more photos of the steampunked birds by clicking on a couple of my favorite links; Trash to Treasure Art and Altered Artifacts.

I Love Nerdy Bird! Thanks for the explanation of 'steampunk' ... interesting isn't it. I want to do some of that. Your computer seemed to offer up all the right 'bits'! Looking forward to seeing finished Nerdy Bird, although he looks pretty great right now.
