BABY BOY ON THE WAY

For several days, I have been working on a B A B Y book to use for guests to sign the tags and offer advice and tips for the mother to be.   It has been a fun project and has me charged up to work on some journals for Christmas.  We are so excited to have a grandson which has brought back so many memories of fun times with our granddaughter when she was a toddler.  It is an ongoing joy that never ceases.  Grandchildren bring so much love into our lives.

ATC - BRIDE

The monthly ATC swap at Digital Whisper for June is BRIDE.  I used a photograph from PhotoXpress for the bride taken by Chinatiger, Beijing, and merely embellished it with fabric and bling.

FIRST GRANDSON IS ON THE WAY

I have been working on some baby shower invitations to honor Sayyora and the birth of our first grandson.  We are all so excited that we can hardly contain ourselves.  We have a very special granddaughter who has grown into a lovely young lady making us so proud. We are constantly reminded of the fun times and laughter we shared watching  her grow from a baby, graduate from collage and enter the workplace.  It will be fun to participate and watch this cycle repeated with a grandson.  Think he will be spoiled?  No way, Jillian was not spoiled but loved so much.

Graduation

I volunteered to make a graduation card for our book club to present to one of the young men in our neighborhood who is graduating from high school.  He will be attending a university come fall.

Designing Divas - April

For April, Lynn hosted the project and we all made matchbox art.  We all love tiny trinkets and altered match boxes are perfect for them.  Below is the one I created with the help of Lynn's supplies and ideas.

Lynn is always inspirational and I, of course, had to make some more.  I finally finished them.  I had to take them apart because I made the fatal error of attaching papers to the inside of the box.  That is a definite "no no" because you won't be able to slide open the drawer.  I also found a necklace with glass leaves that worked out well for the box pulls.  Taking the boxes apart ended up as a big plus and now the drawers can be opened.
