CCC#33 - Altered Metal and Alcohol Inks

MY CRITTER TAG....the critter was a purple metal die cut advertisement; the "friendly" sign was an old rabies tag for one of our dogs.  The circle at the top was silver.  ALL ALTERED for a rather bizarre tag don't you think!  Check out the challenge requirements over at Linda's blog and also take time to view the other challenges from Tim's book, Compendium of Curiosities.

CCC#32 Inking and Stamping Masks

A very effective technique for Challenge 32 over at Studio L3.  Oodles of ideas if you jump over to Linda's blog to view the entries for the weekly Compendium of Curiosities challenges.

HAPPY VALENTINES DAY

Heather T created a new calligraphy sheet (Alpha Dates)  for Memory Scraps and I knew it would be perfect for a piece for Valentines Day.  I also used the heart vector from PhotoXpress and brushes from SummerAir, DeviantArt.  The background was a texture image, found paper, source unknown.

HAPPY VALENTINES DAY TO EACH AND EVERY ONE OF YOU!

Goin' to kiss the Blarney Stone

The February swap at Latest Trends in Mixed Media was to be a St. Patricks Day theme on shipping tags.  If you viewed earlier posts, you'll recall I made ATCs, not tags.  Thus I have uploaded a photo of my "official" shipping tag for this swap.  (It pays to read the instructions. . . .)

CCC#31 - Rusted Enamel

Linda at Studio L3 posted the 31st challenge for Tim's book, Conpendium of Curiosities.  I wish you could see the glossy, glass like appearance of my tag.  I love this technique even though it can be tricking stamping on a very glossy surface.

January Project - Artistic Souls

Barb was well prepared to present the January project using polymer clay.  She instructed us with all of the ins and outs for handling clay and we each made several trinkets from beads to embellisments.  I elected to use the oriental theme and made a few trinkets to use on ATCs.  Below is one I put together for an OSA member

February ATC for Mixed Media Trends SWAP

We were to use the St. Patricks Day theme along with a piece of ribbon and a green button.  I made a little pocket to hold the button tag.
