Designing DIVAS June Project

Renee has recently rekindled her passion for watercolor art and made several sheets of watercolor washes for us to use for our cards.  She brought a variety of stamps for us to experiment with and I chose butterflies and dragonflies.  The project was very similar to the spotlight technique except instead of coloring the second stamped image, we stamped it on the watercolor washes, punched out shapes and pasted them over our card.  The results were amazingly beautiful.  Thanks, Renee, for a terrific project and I look forward to attending your watercolor art show.

Carolyn,
This is truly a piece of art and the color you chose in the wash and card base complement one another so well. The spotlighted pieces blend so well that one has to look closely before realizing that it is overlayed and not painted!
