CC Chalenge # - Monoprinting

Linda, at Studio L3, selected Monoprinting from A Compendium of Curiosities for this week's challenge.  I used a Tim Holtz stamp, added a strip of measuring tape and the metal "C" embellishment.   I love this image because it reminds me of myself as a child and I was born on the 3rd of the month. 

Compendium of Curiosities - Challenge #2, Fragments

For the second challenge over at Studio L3, Linda, elected FRAGMENTS for our challenge.  This was a fun one.  I created a card, a front for an altered journal and a small fragment with transparency that I will incorporate as an element for a future project.

A Compendium of Curiosities - Challenge #1, Waterstamping

Linda, on her blog at Studio L3, is hosting a weekly challenge using Tim Holtz's book, Compendium of Curiosities.  My book arrived today so I had some catching up to do.  Here are my results for the first challenge. It took me a couple of tries working with images from Scrolls Work.

It's a Contraption of some Sort

For the past several months steampunk has been a popular theme for art projects.  You won't find a more diverse collection of images than the rubber stamps available from Scrolls Work.  For this card, I used the verse #1300, Tim & Tom #9011 and the #9100 sprocket stamp for the background.  The element is indeed a contraption of some sort, for what purpose???

Round Robin Image Swap - Artistic Souls

The image I selected for the members to use for this round is an old PSX stamp of a purse. We started off the round with each member using their own stamp to create an ATC. This is what I came up with. It doesn't show up well but there is a strip of lace down the left side and a raised white rose as a hair adornment. The background was from a collage sheet by Rian Designs.

Rose Collage - Scrolls Work

Our roses are in full bloom and they reminded me of the rose collage image at Scrolls Work.  After coloring the image direct to paper with various inks, I cut the card apart and pasted it as shown.  I like the oriental verses at Scrolls Work and used the GET WELL stamp to complete the card.

June Shoebox Card for Artistic Souls, Circle of Friends

I was stumped this month trying to come up with a simple shoebox card for the group.  I have been wanting to use a recent texture plate by Helen Breil which was designed for clay but, you know me, I use them for whatever.  I inked the image using a Big and Juicy Waterfall ink pad and embossed with clear EP.  VOILA...easy card and a little different.
